Responses to pushy selling

How to avoid the sales shysters
They walk among us
They give selling a bad name
Best response?
Tell them to do one
But they are sneaky little gits so here's a guide to telling them to where to go
❌ High-pressure tactics or forced urgency
🔶 “I need time to think about this decision. Please send me the details in writing.”
❌ Vague or incomplete information
🔶 “Can you clarify that in writing? I want to ensure I fully understand before moving forward.”
❌ Fear or guilt being used as a motivator
🔶 “I prefer to make decisions based on positive outcomes, not worst-case scenarios.”
❌ Unrealistic promises or guarantees
🔶 “Can you provide examples, case studies, or data to support those claims?”
❌ Hidden terms or unclear pricing
🔶 “Please share a complete breakdown of the costs and any additional fees before I decide.”
❌ Unsolicited upselling or irrelevant offers
🔶 “I’m only interested in solutions that directly address my specific needs.”
❌ Automated, impersonal communication
🔶 “I’d like to speak with someone who can provide a more personalized approach.”
An ethical seller will never hear these words as they will never put their customer in that position
