Sadly this is becoming increasingly common now
Many salespeople have not made the subtle shifts to what has previously served them well to make what they do work well today
But it doesn’t have to be this way
Concentrate on things to become more effective with that activity
🔶 Prepare
- Get clear on who you really want to work with
- Get a decent understanding of their issues and generate insights to help them think about them
- Get everyone looking for that kind of business
🔶 Plan
- Become obsessive about what you use time for... think impact!
- Become skilled in using tools that help (are you using ChatGPT yet?)
- Become comfortable that thinking time is as valuable as time spent doing
🔶 Process
- Focus on developing ways that work again and again
- Focus on helping customers on their journey (rather than forcing ways of working that suit you)
- Focus on sales techniques relevant for today
Put something in place to do address this now
Hoping it will all change magically is not an option
As it is already an issue it will most likely only get worse as the pressures of accelerated change we are all experiencing increase
