A colleague and I started the year with the Collaborative Selling Accelerator, coached by Fred over six weeks. Each week we covered different stages of making a sale, from initial contact and prospecting through to negotiations and "the perfect close" (as covered in one of Fred's podcasts).
Each week, we were challenged to put into practice the ideas and thought processes we had learned, and we both noticed improvements in the quality of our meetings, finding success with approaches we had never previously considered. For myself, the major takeaway was to be more mindful of quite how much more there is to know about a customer than what they initially want to tell me, which will therefore lead to deeper understanding, stronger partnerships and overall more comprehensive solutions that will make me stand out when compared with salespeople who are not mindful of collaborative selling.
